Emer Prof Chemmangot Nayar has dedicated almost four decades to advancing the clean energy industry.
Chemmangot has pioneered research and practical applications of technology, with a particular focus on remote communities and islands. He has successfully secured over $9 million in research and project grants. These have been used to design, build and implement renewable energy solutions in Australia and overseas.
Chemmangot’s innovative designs have contributed to economic growth by generating public awareness and tourism opportunities for remote communities. By implementing more than 40 projects in various locations worldwide, he has also created significant employment opportunities.
He has held numerous leadership positions in the university sector and in renewable energy institutions, including Director of the Centre for Renewable Energy and Sustainable Technologies at Curtin University.
His significant contribution has been recognised with multiple industry awards. His expertise is frequently sought out by United Nations agencies, government aid agencies and related industries around the world.
The state of Kerala, India, with large stretches of water bodies has huge potential for floating photovoltaic systems. The Kerala State Electricity Board Ltd (KSEBL) has awarded a 500 kWp Floating Grid Interactive Solar Photovoltaic Power Project in the Banasurasagar dam in Wayanad to a consortia led by Adtech Systems Ltd, a Thiruvananthapuram based company. The other members of the implementing consortium are Hyderabad based Radiant Solar Pvt Ltd, Floatels India Pvt Ltd and Regen Power Pty Ltd, an Australian renewable energy company based in Western Australia

The SEA Awards for Excellence and Innovation from the Sustainable Energy Association of Australia (SEA) honor outstanding achievement in the advancement and adoption of renewable energy technologies across Australia.
Our group company 'Regen Power' was awarded the Product and Technology Award by the Sustainable Energy Association of Australia (SEA). The award ceremony, recognising sustainable energy excellence and innovation, was held in Perth on 24th March 2011 at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The design and installation of the solar power plant has been done the Hyderabad-based Radiant Solar Private Limited with approval and support from the Union Ministry for New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) and ANERT attached to Department of Power, Kerala. Mount Gambier TAFE South Australia Campus located 450 kilometres south of Adelaide can now boast that it has the very best facility in Australia for training technicians and installers involved in domestic renewable energy systems. The $150,000 "Solar & domestic wind turbine installation and grid connect training centre" was built by TAFE students and largely financed by industry sponsors. The site features a ground level roof structure which has a tiled section, a corrugated iron section and a Trim deck section so students can practice installing solar panels on all roof types. There are also separate controllers and electronics for each set of installed panels.

30 KW solar project has been signed by Radiant Solar Private Limited with MACFAST College, Tiruvalla, Kerala. This project is based on the guidelines of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) and under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission. The carbon credit entitled by the college will be approximately Rs.63, 590/year.
